Linoleum

Linoleum flooring is a term used to describe a synthetic floor covering material made from vinyl.  It was originally made from solidified linseed oil, or linoxyn, combined with a resin and applied to a backing of burlap or canvas. Today it has become a catchall term applied to many kinds of vinyl flooring. It is available in sheets or tiles. Linoleum sheet flooring is less expensive, however is best installed by a true professional. Linoleum tiles are generally more expensive, however it is potentially a job that can be considered a “do-it-yourself” project. Linoleum is known for its outstanding durability, and is available in a vast array of designs from simple to complex, and any number of colors and patterns. If you can imagine it, you can probably find a linoleum floor material like it.
